This ambitious mixed-use project features a four-storey extension to an existing period building, seamlessly blending heritage character with contemporary design. The development includes ground-floor retail and hospitality tenancies, with two upper levels of modern office space designed for flexibility and natural light.
The project also integrates shared amenities such as a central foyer, public lifts, and rear-access car parking — all within a compact and highly constrained urban site. A key focus was on maximising accessibility and achieving high sustainability outcomes, all while navigating the challenges of working with existing infrastructure and heritage elements.
This project involves the design of a new church building to accommodate a congregation of up to 500 people. The spatial program includes a large auditorium for worship services, a welcoming foyer and reception area, accessible toilet and kitchen facilities, dedicated office spaces, and flexible training rooms for educational and community use.
Beyond the functional requirements, the brief called for a space that evokes a strong spiritual presence — a place where people can gather, connect, and reflect. Natural light, openness, and a thoughtful sense of flow were central to creating an atmosphere that supports both worship and community life. The design seeks to embody a sacred yet accessible environment that nurtures belonging, contemplation, and shared purpose.
This project involved transforming an existing industrial warehouse adjacent to a KIA service centre into a contemporary new car showroom. The redevelopment included a spacious showroom accommodating up to 13 vehicles, along with a reception area, customer lounge, informal sales zones, and private sales offices. The design was carefully integrated with the existing service centre, sharing amenities and creating a seamless customer experience from service to sales.
A key objective was to align the space with KIA’s national showroom vision — creating an environment that is not only functional but also warm, relaxed, and welcoming. One of the main design challenges was blending the industrial heritage of the original warehouse with the sleek, modern aesthetic required to reflect the premium quality and evolving identity of the KIA brand.
Located on the ground floor of a new mixed-use development in Hawthorn, this café fitout was designed to create a warm, inviting space that encourages customers to relax and linger. The client’s brief called for a balance between modern design and cosy comfort — a space that would feel both contemporary and welcoming.
This was achieved through the extensive use of timber elements, including chevron-patterned timber flooring, a custom timber servery, and bespoke timber furniture. These warm, tactile surfaces are contrasted with an exposed off-form concrete ceiling, lending the space a subtle industrial edge while preserving the full ceiling height to enhance openness and natural light.

Visitors are greeted by a light-filled entry and meeting space with views overlooking the neighbouring park, offering a calm and inviting setting for client consultations. The brief called for a space that would feel both polished and inviting, making a strong impression on clients while supporting day-to-day operations.
The interior features oak chevron floorboards that add texture and elegance underfoot, complemented by a custom-designed curved reception desk with a marble top as the focal point of the entry. Soft sage green walls provide a calming backdrop, while steel-framed glass partitions define the space without compromising light or openness. The addition of sheer curtains and steel-framed bookshelves introduces a sense of softness and sophistication, achieving a refined balance between structure and comfort.
This 13-storey mixed-use development is prominently located adjacent to Glenferrie Station in Hawthorn. The project comprises ground-floor retail spaces, first-floor commercial offices, and 11 levels of residential apartments above — creating a vibrant vertical community in a key urban location.
A key feature of the site is the heritage-listed building at its base, which was retained and carefully integrated into the overall design. To respect the heritage fabric, a distinct visual separation was introduced through a darker material banding on levels 2 and 3, creating a clear dialogue between the old and the new.
The design also includes a striking curved-glass public arcade at ground level, offering shelter for commuters moving between Glenferrie Road and the train station. Inspired by the sweeping forms of grand European railway stations, this arcade not only serves a practical function but enhances the public realm with a gesture of architectural elegance and civic generosity.

Situated near the corner of Smith Street and Johnston Street, this salon fitout is housed within a heritage building, presenting both character and spatial challenges — including a compact footprint and high ceilings. The brief was to create a space that felt luxurious and a little bit indulgent, offering clients a sense of escape and sophistication during their visit.
This atmosphere was achieved through the use of elegant decorative pendant lighting, custom-designed mirrors, and high-quality finishes throughout. The result is a refined and intimate interior that elevates the salon experience while celebrating the building’s historic charm.
